Nissan America Sales - October 2010

Look at the Nissan Titan as proof of the Ford F-150's success. If Nissan could've just stolen five percent of October 2010's Ford F-Series sales in America, the Titan would've been Nissan's fifth-best-selling model. Instead, with 1964 sales (compared to Ford's nearly 50,000 F-Series sales), the Titan sold in smaller quantities than the new-to-market niche market bit player that is the 2011 Nissan Juke.

Don't take this as the entry to a Nissan Sales Stats critique - it isn't. Nissan USA sales were up 15.2% in October 2010. Nissan car sales were up 4.6%, Nissan truck/SUV sales were up 35.7%. On the luxury side, Infiniti was up 22.9% in October 2010. SUV/crossover sales at Infiniti, which basically means the 2011 Infiniti QX56, th stylish FX35 and FX50, and the unpopular EX35, were up a fairly astounding 39.6%.

Separate the Infiniti G37 coupe from its G sedan subling and you'd see falling sales in October. G Coupe sales dropped rom 1441 in October 2009 to 1216 last month. Year-to-date sales of the G Coupe are up 15.2%. By itself, G Coupe sales in the USA were greater than total Infiniti Canada sales in October.
