Ford USA Sales - October 2010

Ford Motor Company's Ford brand was the best-selling auto brand in America in October 2010. As usual, the Ford F-Series was America's best-selling truck; the country's overall best-selling vehicle, as well. The Ford Escape was the third-best-selling SUV in America in October. Among cars, the Ford Fusion and Ford Focus were both on America's Top 10 Best-Selling Cars list. Was it a bad month for Ford Motor Company? You wouldn't say so.

Of the 12 Fords on sale in October 2009, eight posted improved sales in October 2010. Those facts go hand-in-hand with the Ford brand's 20.6% sales increase. Lincoln sales climbed 1.5% on the back of the 2011 Lincoln MKZ. MKS, MKT, and Navigator sales were all lower this year than in October 2009.

All this said, volume-wise, Ford Motor Company isn't as strong as General Motors in the United States. Profitability is another question altogether, one that Ford decided to deal with long before General Motors went bankrupt. The model-by-model breakdown for Ford can be seen after the jump. These are Lincoln's numbers.
