Hyundai Kia USA Sales - October 2010
Hyundai managed to lower fleet sales by 46% in October 2010 while still increasing overall sales 38% to 42,656. This makes October 2010 the best October ever for Hyundai Motor America. (Check out GCBC's analysis plus the model-by-model breakdown for Kia Motor America after the jump.) Other than the Hyundai Santa Fe and the Hyundai Azera, every model in the Hyundai showroom posted greater sales volume in October 2010 than in October 2009. Now that the hype has worn off, it's easy for analysts and auto observers to forget that Hyundai Motor America sells every car with a 10 year powertrain warranty, 5 year roadside assistance, and the Hyundai Assurance job loss protection. Perhaps.... is it possible.... consumers still love this stuff? The good news for Hyundai when it comes to falling Santa Fe sales is the booming sales of the 2011 Kia Sorento, a platformmate of the Santa Fe's. It's also quite likely that Santa Fe sales will take off once again with improving availability; something which may be true of the Tucson, as well.Hyundai Sonata: 17,505Year-over-year volume change: +124.7%Last month: 20,639Year-to-date: 166,628Hyundai Elantra: 9497Year-over-year volume change: +9.5%Last month: 10,062Year-to-date: 110,519Hyundai Accent: 5372Year-over-year volume change: +17.3%Last month: 4885Year-to-date: 45,139Hyundai Santa Fe: 3600Year-over-year volume change: -44.2%Last month: 3719Year-to-date: 64,429Hyundai Tucson: 3051Year-over-year volume change: +259.8%Last month: 2730Year-to-date: 32,511Hyundai Genesis: 2375Year-over-year volume change: +28.4%Last month: 3230Year-to-date: 23,694Hyundai Veracruz: 1054Year-over-year volume change: +104.3%Last month: 992Year-to-date: 7142Hyundai Azera: 202Year-over-year volume change: -32.2%Last month: 299Year-to-date: 2641Like its parent company Hyundai, Kia Motor America sold more vehicles in October 2010 than any October in history, even 412 BC, a really good year for Kia sales. The 2011 Kia Sorento is clearly fueling the fire but other Kia models are pulling in their fair share of customers. Kia's Soul and Forte both exceeded last October's volume by healthy margins, particularly the Soul, but perhaps of more consequence are the improving autumn sales of Kia's three best-selling models. Sorento sales, Soul sales, and Forte sales were higher in October than September.Expect greater gains from Korea's #2 brand once the 2011 Kia Optima goes on sale. Handsome and competent, the Optima and eventual arrival of the Cadenza should help buyers forget about the outgoing Optima and dreadful Amanti.Kia Sorento: 10,611Year-over-year volume change: +819.5%Last month: 10,115Year-to-date: 89,561Kia Soul: 6137Year-over-year volume change: +197.5%Last month: 5346Year-to-date: 55,161Kia Forte: 5754Year-over-year volume change: +15.4%Last month: 5116Year-to-date: 57,482Kia Sportage: 2677Year-over-year volume change: +133.6%Last month: 2888Year-to-date: 19,464Kia Rio: 1818Year-over-year volume change: -54.6%Last month: 1638Year-to-date: 22,709Kia Sedona: 1655Year-over-year volume change: +63.4%Last month: 1706Year-to-date: 18,872Kia Optima: 1630Year-over-year volume change: -47%Last month: 2024Year-to-date: 22,852Kia Borrego: 835Year-over-year volume change: -78.7%Last month: 1107Year-to-date: 9148Kia Rondo: 68Year-over-year volume change: -91.6%Last month: 111Year-to-date: 3455Kia Amanti: 11Year-over-year volume change: -78.4%Last month: 14Year-to-date: 251Related From GoodCarBadCar.netU.S. Auto Sales By Brand - October 2010Volkswagen Audi Porsche USA Sales - October 2010General Motors Out-Sells Ford Motor Company In OctoberSubaru USA Sales - October 2010Suzuki USA Sales - October 2010Hyundai Santa Fe 2.4 DrivenThe Good 12 v3.0 Part V - Kia Soul

Nissan America Sales - October 2010
Look at the Nissan Titan as proof of the Ford F-150's success. If Nissan could've just stolen five percent of October 2010's Ford F-Series sales in America, the Titan would've been Nissan's fifth-best-selling model. Instead, with 1964...

Chrysler Dodge Jeep Usa Sales - October 2010
It remains to be seen whether this recovery period at Fiat-run Chrysler will be short-lived, long-lasting, or long-lasting enough to see Chrysler, Dodge, and Jeep over the hump to a time when products aren't simply refreshed but all-new and highly...

Ford Usa Sales - October 2010
Ford Motor Company's Ford brand was the best-selling auto brand in America in October 2010. As usual, the Ford F-Series was America's best-selling truck; the country's overall best-selling vehicle, as well. The Ford Escape was the third-best-selling...

Volvo Usa Sales - October 2010
Volvo car sales in the United States were down 9.9% from a not wildly high October 2009. Yes, Volvo sales were up last year, but only up to the point at which Volvo USA was the ninth-best-selling luxury car brand in America. Lo and behold, Volvo USA was...
