Properly mini-minivans accounted for 14.8% of Canada's minivan market in June 2013, up from 13.1% a year ago even as sales of the Chevrolet Orlando, Kia Rondo, and Mazda 5 collectively fell 1.8%. Even as sales of the Kia Rondo more than doubled.
As a whole, Canada's minivan market was down 13.2% in June, and sales of the seven bigger minivans fell 15% to 7805 from 9177 units in June 2012. The Dodge Grand Caravan was responsible for much of the lost volume, as volume plunged by 1835 units and the Grand Caravan's market share - 57.8% in June 2012 - slid to 46.6%.

Nevertheless, the Grand Caravan was Canada's best-selling minivan in June and will undoubtedly end 2013 as the top seller. No other van is on pace for more than 12,000 sales. Dodge has already sold 23,741 Grand Caravans... in a down year.
5.3% of the new vehicles sold in Canada in June 2013 were minivans, compared with 6.2% in June 2012. In the first six months of 2012, 5.9% of the new vehicles sold in Canada were minivans, but that figure has fallen to 5.2% in the first half of 2013.
