Toronto Flash Floods: The Wise Guy in the Saturn, the Trapped Ferrari California and More
If you haven’t heard, Toronto, Canada's largest city and home to around 2.7 million people, was flooded last night after a severe thunderstorm poured more than a month's worth of rain in a few hours. While the average rainfall for July in Toronto is 71 mm (2.8 inches), more than 90mm (3.54 inches) fell into the city on Monday - according to CTV News, there was a record-breaking 126 mm of rain at Pearson Airport. Naturally, all that rain falling in such a short period resulted in flash floods all over the city, catching many drivers by surprise, some of whom were stranded in the waters.
