Top 20 Best-Selling Cars In America - March 2015

The Toyota Camry was America's best-selling car in March 2015 for the second consecutive month despite a 3% decrease.

The Camry outsold its nearest rival, its little brother, the Toyota Corolla, by more than 5200 units. The Honda Accord, traditionally America's second-best-selling car, ranked seventh in March because of a 23% year-over-year decline.

The Hyundai Elantra, on the other hand, posted the most significant year-over-year increase of any car in the top 10. The Elantra ranked fifth overall, seven spots ahead of the Hyundai Sonata, well ahead of the Accord and Honda's Civic, also.

To those who say Americans don't buy interesting cars, pay particular attention to the 15th and 18th-best-selling cars in March, BMW's 3-Series and Ford Mustang. This was the best Mustang sales month since 2007.

Historical monthly and yearly sales figures for any of these best-selling cars can always be accessed through the dropdown menu at GCBC's Sales Stats page, and for those not viewing the mobile version of this site, near the top right of this page, as well. GoodCarBadCar has already published the list of America's best-selling trucks and best-selling SUVs in March.

Prefer to think of the Outback as an SUV? It would have ranked 12th in that group in March 2015.
