Report: Chrysler in Talks with Hyundai and Renault-Nissan
As soon as it became known that General Motors suspended its acquisition efforts of its equally financially troubled cross-town rival (click here for details), Reuters broke a news story saying that the Chrysler LLC owner Ceberus Capital Management has had talks with Hyundai about a potential buyout of the U.S. automaker's Jeep brand. However, Cerberus wants to sell the Chrysler Group as a whole (Dodge, Chrysler and Jeep), but if worse comes to worst, then everything is possible. The report also said that Cerberus plans to restart talks with other interested parties including the Renault-Nissan Group.
