January 2013 Top 10 Worst-Selling Vehicles In Canada

2013 Suzuki SX4 crossover red
Apparently Suzuki isn't dead in Canada, as it is in the United States now. Yet Suzuki only sold 23 Kizashis in Canada in January 2013. Hyundai's Elantra outsold the Kizashi 129-to-1 last month.
2013 Hyundai Genesis Coupe Tsukuba Red
Judged by year-over-year change, the Jaguar XK was the worst-selling car in Canada in January 2013. XK sale(s) fell 83% to a single unit. BMW Z4 sales dropped 78%. Big GM cars from Chevrolet and Buick - the Impala and LaCrosse, specifically - fell 77% and 70%, respectively. BMW X1 sales have fallen in six consecutive months. The Lexus IS's 58% decline, which brought it right to the borderline, isn't completely unexpected: a new IS has already debuted. Consumers would be wise to wait.

January 2013's Canada Auto Sales Brand Rankings

GM Canada only just began selling the Buick Encore. Honda's actually selling more Insights now than a year ago. Canadians know better than to think Audi, Nissan, and Mercedes-Benz would sell dozens of R8s, GT-Rs, and SLS AMGs.

Vehicle must have been on sale in January 2013, must not have been officially cancelled by its manufacturer, and must have been showcased on manufacturer's website in January. Acura and Porsche did not sell any RLs or Caymans in January. The rule that disallows discontinued or cancelled vehicles can lead to confusion, as manufacturers often announce the discontinuation of a model but continue to market the car indefinitely. Sales of the Scion xD, for example, slid 55.6% to 24 in January, and the Dodge Durango fell 70.8% to 138.
