2009 Mazda Demio Goes on Sale in Japan


For a moment there, Mazda almost had us fooled with its official press release that was entitled “Freshened Demio Now on Sale in Japan”. Turns out that the word “freshened” refers to the addition of two new exterior body colors (Passion Orange Mica and Golden Red Mica) and a few changes in the interior trim including the standard black seats that have been enlivened with a multistripe pattern, the new steering wheel with bright silver spokes and the standardization of the ‘Audio-less’ specification across the range, which according to Mazda, provides customers with the freedom to choose their desired audio system. -Continued

The MY’09 Demio or as it’s called in Europe and other markets Mazda2, is available in Japan with prices (including consumption tax) range from 1,190,000 to 1,580,000 yen.
