Although the market for the 86 SUVs and crossovers competing in Canada is up 5.6% in the first five months of 2013, the appetite for the seven big, full-size, mainstream brand SUVs is down 16.6% this year.
That's a 572-unit drop, and it's a decline that's been accomplished with assistance from all seven nameplates in the category.
The Chevrolet Suburban, shorter wheelbase GMC Yukon, and Toyota Sequoia (pictured above) all reported year-over-year increases in the month of May. Although the monthly and year-to-date leader is the Ford Expedition, the GM quartet owns 60% of the category; and 61% of the category in May, specifically.
