Ford Canada's highest monthly F-Series total since last summer kept all rivals far behind the top-ranked vehicle line in March 2013. Seven out of every hundred vehicles sold in Canada in March was some kind of F-Series pickup.
Combined, Canada's five best-selling vehicles accounted for 22% of the new vehicles sold in March. The top 20 were responsible for just under half of the industry's volume, as you can see by clicking the accompanying chart.Every Vehicle Ranked By March 2013 & YTD Canadian Sales
Overall, there were five Fords in Canada's top 30 last month to go along with nine more vehicles from General Motors (four) and Chrysler Canada (five). One German car, the Volkswagen Jetta, posted a 55% year-over-year increase. The next-best-selling German-brand vehicle, BMW's 3-Series, ranked 31st. That leaves ten Japanese cars from Honda (three), Mazda (two), Toyota (three), and Nissan (two) plus four Hyundais and one Kia. March 2013's Canadian Auto Sales Brand Rankings

Missing from February's version of this post? Just one vehicle, the Kia Sorento, which ranked 32nd and was replaced here by the Chrysler 200. Compared with March of last year, the Nissan Versa, Kia Forte, and Nissan Altima were knocked out of the top 30. The Kia Rio, Nissan Sentra, and Honda Accord weren't in the top 30 a year ago, but they were last month.
