Top 10 Worst-Selling Cars In Canada - June 2011

2011 Lincoln MKS
You are about to find out that only one of Canada's worst-selling cars in June 2011 wasn't wearing a Japanese badge. Based on year-over-year percentage drops of cars that are still marketed by auto manufacturers competing in Canada, the Lincoln MKS comes in at #5 with a 66.2% plunge.

That's not nearly as bad as Japan's two most famous hybrid nameplates. Canadian buyers don't want the Honda Insight, and even if they did, they'd struggle to find one. As for the Toyota Prius, its market share in Canada has never measured up to what Toyota achieves with the Prius in the States. Besides which, in June 2011, Prii weren't exactly thick on the ground.

Following those two entities is the Nissan Cube, a car which has been crushed by the Kia Soul from the start. The Acura ZDX is despised around here. In a segment where the Ford Fiesta, Mazda 2, and 2012 Hyundai Accent are wise purchases, the Toyota Yaris feels dated. The Honda Fit doesn't. And supply could be an issue. But even last year, before the Fit suffered this 59.2% drop, Hyundai was selling more than four Accents for every Fit sold in Canadian Honda stores.

The Lexus GS is about as desirable as a chest wax and proceeds down the road with as much caution as a toddler taking the stairs. It's not as bad as the Lexus HS250h, however, which was awful enough to land in The Bad 8. The Acura TSX, meanwhile, probably isn't the easiest car to stock right now, and for some strange reason, hasn't been offered to Canadian car buyers in Sport Wagon form.

These are the 10 Worst-Selling Cars In Canada from June 2011. Even when volume is considered as a qualifying factor, few cars sell in lower numbers than these.
