Top 10 Best-Selling Trucks In Canada - November 2011
|
2012 Nissan Titan Crew Cab |
30% of Canada's 10 most popular trucks in November reported declining sales, year-over-year. 30% of Canada's 10 best-selling trucks list are Chevrolets. Yes, it's the same 30%. Silverado sales dipped 1.4%, the Avalanche was down 0.3%, and the Colorado plunged 43%. Sales of the Silverado's twin, GMC's Sierra, jumped 13.6% in November 2011.Canada's best-selling pickup truck in November was the Ford F-Series, as always. The difference this month was in the F-Series' lack of other titles. The F-Series fell 14 units short of retaining its crown as Canada's best-selling vehicle overall, a title the Ford lost (temporarily, we can assume) to the Honda Civic. F-Series sales were up 10.7% in November but are down 2.6% through eleven months.Nissan offered up proof that percentage increases don't tell the whole story. Nissan Titan sales shot up 222% in November 2011. That 222% gain was made possible not by a sudden increase in the Titan's desirability quotient but because Nissan only sold 102 Titans in November 2010. Titan sales increased by 226 units, a 222% jump. On the other hand, the difference in F-Series volume between last November and November 2011 was twice as large as the Titan's total November 2011 volume. So go ahead and shout a yippee, Nissan fans, because sales shot up 222%. But the Titan is a true bit player in Canada. Dodge sold 16.6 Ram pickups every time Nissan Canada sold a Titan last month.Last month's version of this best-selling trucks post can be viewed here, last November's edition is here, the U.S. best-selling trucks post is worth reading here, and the 10 best-selling trucks in Canada in November 2011 are below.
