Last month GoodCarBadCar.net expanded its Best Sellers section to include a look at the best-selling cars and SUVs from America, Europe, and Japan. Although not perfect - the 2010 Toyota Camry was built in the USA and the 2011 Ford Fusion is still built in Mexico - these lists looks at the dominant players from the Detroit brands, Asia's strongest car-making country, and all of Europe. It's interesting stuff.
For example, as you can see in the list of America's Top 10 Best-Selling American Cars In October 2010 below, the Ford Fusion moved up the list from last month's (slightly different formatted group) on the back of vastly improved October sales. The Chevrolet Camaro, meanwhile, was on this list last month when we looked at year-to-date sales and made it again October 2010 despite sales which fell compared with October 2009. And why the combination of 2011 Chevrolet Cruze and 2010 Chevrolet Cobalt? As the Cobalt was to the Cavalier, the Cruze is to the Cobalt: a replacement. Why not pair the two together for the purposes of explicit disclosure despite the name change?
