Spy Shots: BMW Continues Work on the New 3-Series / 4-Series Coupe
These new spy photos plopped in our inbox today affording us a fresh look at the next BMW 3-Series Coupe, which may or may not be called the 4-Series. Regardless of the name, one thing's for sure: the two-door model will be based on the sixth generation of the 3-Series sedan. Leaving aside the first 3-Series, codenamed E21, which was only offered as a two door model anyway, with the exception of the 1980s E30 model, all the rest of the 3-Series Coupes featured significant styling changes over their four-door counterparts.
This tradition will continue with the new F32 model that will share very few, if any, body panels with the four-door sedan. If you look at the pictures that follow, you'll see that the F32 has typical coupe proportions with long front doors and a lower greenhouse that is heavily slanted towards the back.
