September 2012 Top 30 Best-Selling Vehicles In America
|
Ford Reported A 91% Year-Over-Year Increase In Focus Sales In September |
Having already ranked America's 20 best-selling cars, 20 best-selling SUVs, and five best-selling trucks, the list below throws them all in together with a couple minivans. These were America's 30 best-selling in September 2012.
The growth of America's most dominant pickup trucks stalled in September. The four best-selling trucks - Ford's F-Series, GM's Silverado and Sierra, and Dodge's Ram - either posted losses or posted increases well below the industry average.
Those four trucks did account for 11% of all new vehicle sales in the United States in September. America's four best-selling cars, on the other hand, were responsible for 9.6% of all new vehicle sales. The three best-selling cars - Camry, Accord, Cruze - all increased at an above-average rate compared with September 2011.September 2012 YTD - All 265 Vehicles Ranked
America's four leading utility vehicles assumed 6.3% of the industry's total volume last month. Of those four, the Ford Escape, Honda CR-V, and Ford Explorer improved their sales at an above-average pace. America's two best-selling minivans did so also. Dodge's Grand Caravan expanded its lead over the Honda Odyssey to 10,303 units with one quarter of 2012 remaining. |
