Scoop: 2008 Volvo XC50

Italian site Infomotori has got a bunch of photoshops featuring Volvo's upcoming XC50 SUV which will take on the likes of the BMW X3 and the future Mercedes MLK & Audi Q5 SUVs. As the bigger XC70 is based on the V70 (click here to see pics: 2007 Volvo XC70), likewise the XC50 will be based on the V50 using the same AWD system.

According to Informotori, when the XC50 goes into production (first months of 2008), its line-up will be similar to the V50 and it will include the 220 Hp 2.5T petrol and 180 Hp D5 diesel engines. Via: Infomotori
