Rinspeed sQuba: Amphibious Concept Heading For 2008 Geneva Show
If there’s one major car show that’s renowned for hosting weird concepts, that’s the Geneva Auto Salon. At the 2008 motor-show which will take place from March 6 thru 16, Swiss designer Rinspeed will once again attempt to grasp our attention (and imagination) with an amphibious concept dubbed “sQubaâ€, inspired from the Lotus Esprit that stared in the James Bond film "The spy who loved me". -Continued Though Rinspeed doesn’t say it, it’s apparent from the renderings that the sQuba is based on the Lotus Elise -maybe even the Tesla since it's powered by an electric motor that drives the rear wheels. The propulsion on the water is ensured by two propellers in the stern and two powerful jet drives in the bow propel the vehicle under water while diving.
