Nissan Pivo 2 Concept – 2007 Tokyo Show Preview
Nissan will treat the 2007 Tokyo Show visitors at the end of October with the second generation Pivo concept, first shown at the 2005 Tokyo Show. Like the original concept, the Pivo 2 is powered by compact lithium-ion batteries and it features fully rotating cabin design (360 degree turning) – meaning no reverse gear required. The most innovative new feature in the second generation Pivo are the four rotating wheels, each of which is powered by Nissan’s electric In-wheel 3D Motor and can turn through 90 degrees therefore allowing the Pivo 2 to drive sideways as well as forward. -Continued after the jump Nissan also equipped the Pivo 2 with the “Robotic Agent†which alloys you to communicate to the car in Japanese and English, providing information on everything from basic vehicle functions through to the nearest available parking. The Pivo 2 will be on display at the Nissan Ginza Gallery in Tokyo, for an exclusive public sneak preview ahead of the Motor Show.
