NHTSA Expands Stuck Throttle Probe to 1.9 Million Ford and Mercury Vehicles
Having already instigated a preliminary investigation into 360,000 Ford Taurus sedans from the 2005 and 2006 model years over a stuck throttle issue cause by cruise control cable detachment, the National Highway Traffic Safety Association (NHTSA) announced today that many more Ford group vehicles might be affected. According to the safety agency, the probe will expand to include the 2001-2005MY Taurus and Mercury Sable as well. This increases the total number of cars to 1.92 million units.
