MOTOR CITY RECALL #2
The Detroit News is reporting on another Ford recall. Â (You can read all Recall-related posts, including Ford's, with a click.) Â Approximately 100,000 F-series trucks, 14,000 of which are in Canada, have come under scrutiny for seats that don't meet federal standards.
Classifying recalls into different categories is a difficult procedure; one which I've yet to undertake. However, this sort of not-terribly dangerous recall does fall under the 'stupid' category. Â Was Ford's heavy-duty truck engineering team - a very large team, one can assume - not aware of federal seat standards? Â
Still, the 2008 F250-F550 Super Duty pickups are mighty impressive, I reckon. Â

Ford Diesel Recall
Excursions, E-series vans, and heavy duty F-series trucks built by Ford from 1997-2003 are facing a recall. The diesel models (7.3L) may have a faulty sensor that causes the engine to stall. You don't want to stall going downhill towards the ocean...
