Midsize SUV Sales Figures In Canada - September 2013 YTD

With its biggest Canadian sales numbers in more than a decade, the Nissan Pathfinder outsold the Toyota Highlander in September 2013.
Four times stronger than they were a year ago (and six times stronger in September) Pathfinder sales through the first nine months of 2013 are already greater than what Nissan managed in 2009, 2011, and 2012 combined.
The Nissan Pathfinder, however, didn't sell as often as the Honda Pilot in September, nor as often as the Jeep Grand Cherokee or Ford Explorer. It trails the Explorer, JGC, and Toyota Highlander year-to-date. • All 256 Autos Ranked By September 2013/YTD Canadian Sales
• All 87 SUVs Ranked By September 2013/YTD Canadian Sales
The gap between the Pathfinder and its better-selling three-row crossovers is small, however, and it's yet another sign of what Nissan and other automobile manufacturers can do when they leave off-road-capable SUV platforms behind in order to chase crossover buyers. You can click any model name in the tables below to find historical monthly and yearly Canadian auto sales data. You can also select a make and model at GCBC's Sales Stats page. These tables are now sortable, so you can rank midsize SUVs and crossovers any which way you like. Suggestions on how GCBC should break down segments can be passed on through the Contact page.

Source: Automakers & ANDC* indicates a vehicle that is also shown in another GCBC segment breakdown GCBC isn't here to break down segments, an impossible task for any group, but to display sales data for the sake of comparison. The more ways sales data can be displayed, the better, right? This explains why you'll see the Wrangler and Xterra listed with small SUVs, too, and the Subaru Outback shown with mainstream cars... because readers have wanted it both ways. You can always find the sales results for EVERY vehicle and form your own competitive sets by using the All Vehicle Rankings posts.
