Mapco Gas Station Overcharges at Least 16 Customers with Insane Bills Reaching up to $84,522!
Gas prices aren't what they used to be but paying…$84,522.54 for 10 gallons of unleaded fuel ($8,452 a gallon or €1,818 a litre) is too much of a stretch even in the world of make-believe, yet this happened to a one Ray Crockett from Nashville after filling up at a local Mapco station. We know what you're thinking; mistakes can happen, which would be true if it only occurred once, but BP, the oil company behind Mapco, told News Channel 5 that at least 16 customers who used a credit card to pay for gas have been hit with five-figure bills over the last 10 days or so.
