Large SUV Sales In America - November 2013 YTD

2014 Ford Expedition Ingot Silver
As has become the norm, America's full-size SUV category sold more vehicles in 2013 than the same seven vehicles sold one year earlier. November's 11% increase equalled 2295 extra sales. That was like adding another Ford Expedition to the mix.

The Expedition was America's third-best-selling large sport-utility vehicle in November, but it owned just 14.6% of the segment. GM's market share rose to 75% from 72.2% in November 2012. Thanks be unto Chevrolet. Suburban sales shot up 11%; Tahoe sales climbed 23%.

In 2013, only four times has GM reported higher Tahoe sales than in November, despite the small size of the late autumn market for new vehicles. Declining sales were reported only by the category's two basement dwellers, the Nissan Armada and slightly slower-selling compatriot, the Toyota Sequoia.
