That figure, a collective between the regular Escalade and the long-wheelbase Escalade ESV, was surpassed by the Mercedes-Benz GL-Class. GL sales in June rose 11% to 250 units. At the other end of the spectrum, flagship luxury SUVs like the Lexus LX570 and Mercedes-Benz G-Class (losing an L means so much) produced only 27 sales each. Only once in the last year has Toyota Canada managed to sell more than 40 copies of the Lexus LX.
The G-Class, which really and truly should be exceedingly rare, has averaged 23 monthly Canadian sales over the last 18 months, up from 16 in the 18 months preceding.
