Judicial Facepalm: Minutes After Judge Frees Car Burglar, he Breaks Into her Car…
The story of Phillip Bernad is one of those that makes you question a person's sanity and their common sense, or lack thereof. The 32-year old man was in Community Court in San Francisco this past Tuesday for a check of his progress after an auto burglary conviction.
Even though Bernad had violated his probation by missing an earlier court appearance, Judge Lillian Sing let him off with a warning sign, while telling him that she wasn't happy and that he "had better get into a harm reduction program and get going with a job search," the San Francisco Chronicle reported.
