Chrysler Group's April U.S. Sales Up 11 Percent, But Chrysler Brand Down 13 Percent
The Chrysler Group as a whole reported an 11 percent sales increase in the United States in April, with 156,698 units sold. The Jeep, Dodge, Ram Truck and Fiat brands each posted year-over-year sales gains in April compared with the same month a year ago. The largest sales increase came from the Ram Truck brand, with a 49 percent gain. The Ram Cargo Van was the vehicle with the highest sales increase, at 110 percent, followed by the Dodge Durango, with a 65 percent gain. The Jeep Grand Cherokee also had 27 percent bigger sales in April.
