BROOKE SHIELDS STARS IN NEW VW ROUTAN AD

Check out the YouTube clip below to see Brooke Shields in a humourous but truly disingenuous Volkswagen Routan advertisement. It's funny stuff, yes. But the mentions of German engineering drive me absolutely bonkers.

The Routan is a Chrysler Town & Country. Yeah, it looks slightly different and has a Volkswagen grille. But the only German engineering in this minivan is that which was (possibly) completed by Daimler people before their split with Chrysler/Dodge/Jeep, now Chrysler LLC.

It's a typically modern and hip advertisement, nonetheless. What would you expect from VW? Oh, I don't know, a true Volkswagen van based on a stunning concept from 2001, perhaps?
