2012 Year End Top 16 Best-Selling Trucks In America
|
The Dakota Was Not America's Best-Selling Truck In 2012. Or Ever. |
Ford sold more F-Series pickup trucks in America in 2012 than in any year since 2007. Ford put a lickin' on General Motors - the F-Series outsold GM's twins by 69,819 units - and outsold Japan's best-selling truck bya count of 4.5-to-1.
Indeed, the best-selling Japanese truck was also the best-selling non-full-size truck. The Tacoma was up 28% this year with a little help from the Ford Ranger's disappearance. The Tacoma beat its bigger sibling, the Tundra, by 39,744 sales. All 266 Vehicles Ranked By 2012 Year End U.S. Sales
The worst declines were reported by defunct pickup trucks like the Ford Ranger, Suzuki Equator, and Dodge Dakota. |
