2011 Hyundai Sonata with 198HP / 200HP Priced from $19,916
As the 2011 Sonata sedan is making its way to dealers across the U.S. this month, Hyundai released pricing on its newest model. At launch, the freshly designed midsize sedan will be available exclusively with a new 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine producing 198HP, or 200HP with the dual exhaust system. A six-speed automatic transmission comes as standard.
Prices start at $19,195 for the 198HP GLS model, rising to $22,595 for the 200-horsepower SE model and topping out at $27,395 for the fully equipped Limited model with the Navigation Package. Bear in mind that the aforementioned MSRPs do not include a freight charge of $720.
Hyundai claims that the GLS has best-in-class overall fuel economy with a 24 mpg city/35 mpg highway fuel economy rating, with all other Sonata models returning an estimated 22 mpg city/35 mpg highway.
The Sonata competes with the Honda Accord, Toyota Camry, Ford Fusion, Nissan Altima and Chevrolet Malibu.
