'09 GRAND CHEROKEE, COMMANDER, WRANGLER 4-DR RECALLED BY JEEP

These days, automobiles will keep you surprisingly safe in the event of a crash. I say surprising because every time I see the result of a crumpled car and the driver standing next to it unscathed, I'm impressed. However, the 4,336 examples of the '09 Jeep Grand Cherokee, '09 Jeep Commander, and '09 Jeep Wrangler 4-door may posses malfunctioning airbag systems that prevent the driver's airbag from deploying in the event of a crash.

Please get it fixed. NHTSA says dealers will inspect the driver's airbag squib wires and replace the steering column control module free of charge.
