Weber Sportscars Faster One: 900HP, 250mph+, $1,4 Million Swiss Supercar

Weber Sportscars Faster One - Swiss SupercarThe Swiss-built Weber Sportscar Faster One might be one of the most hideous styling executions we've ever laid eyes on, but it's also one of the fastest or, if we are to believe its manufacturer, THE fastest street-legal sports car in the world. The two-seater weighs in at just 1,100 kg or 2,452 pounds and is powered by a heavily modified 7.0-liter twin-supercharged V8 LS7 engine from General Motors that produces a hefty 900HP and a peak torque of 1,050 Nm / 774.5-lbs at 3,900 rpm. Power is driven to all-wheels through an in-house developed semi-automatic sequential six-speed gearbox which is operated via F1-style shift paddles on the steering wheel.

Weber Sportscars Faster One - Swiss SupercarThe company claims that the two-seater sprints from rest to 100 km/h (62mph) in just 2.5 seconds and reaches 200 km/h (124 mph) after a mere 6.6 seconds. The 300 km/h-mark (187 mph) is achieved after a mouth-dropping 16.2 seconds while the vehicle's top speed is in excess of 400 km/h (250 mph).

The Swiss sports car is equally impressive when it comes to stopping power as it is equipped with a set of custom-made 12-piston fixed calipers that grab vented ceramic disc brakes measuring 380 x 34 millimeters on front and rear axle. These brakes can bring the two-seater to a hault from 100 km/h (62 mph) in around 30 meters - approximately 100 feet.

According to Weber Sportscars the butt-ugly Faster One carries a price tag of 1,620,000 Swiss Franks -export price without taxes- which comes to about $1,38 million.
