If your Passat is powered by gasoline there may be a lack of heat shielding. If your Passat is powered by the 1.8 turbo, fuel line problems could pose issues as well. And, if your Passat sends power to all four wheels, fuel tank ventilation valves could be damaged.Â
It sounds as though the people with the Volkswagen Passats in 1.8T 4Motion form are about to receive a fair number of hours of free service from their VW dealer.
