U.S. Avg. Gas Prices Hit Yet Another Record at $3.718


The national average price for a gallon of regular gasoline in the U.S. has hit yet another record today (Monday, March 12, 2008) at $3.718 according to a report from the AAA. Same goes for the mid-grade and premium gasolines which sell for $3.949 and $4.091 respectively while diesel has reached an astonishing $4.361 a gallon.

A month ago the average national prices were: regular - $3.371, mid - $3.579, premium - $3.708 and diesel - $4.090. Compared to last year, today consumers in the U.S. pay an average 21.4% percent more for a gallon of regular gasoline and 6.6% more for diesel fuel.
