Toyota iQ Mini Production Version To Make Geneva Debut

In a surprise announcement, Toyota revealed today that it will unveil the production ready version of its all-new small car, the iQ mini, at the Geneva Motor Show in March. First shown as the Concept Car iQ at last year’s Frankfurt Motor Show (click here for pics and details), the iQ will go into production during late 2008. As with the concept, the production version measures under three-meters in length (less than 118-inches) and it can carry three adult passengers, with extra room to accommodate a child or carry luggage.

Though Toyota hasn’t released any mechanical details, the iQ will most likely run on a 1.0-litre engine featuring several gas saving technologies like auto stop-start functionality. We’ll know more about the iQ in few weeks time.
