Pickup truck sales in the home of the pickup truck grew 18% in June 2013. U.S. truck sales are up 15%  through the first half of 2013. Both these figures for outpace the overall industry's growth.

Ford owned 35% of June's U.S. pickup market. Together with the Chevrolet Silverado, Ram P/U, GMC Sierra, Toyota Tundra, and Nissan Titan, the six core full-size trucks account for 88% of all pickup truck sales in America.

In all, 28,924 more trucks were sold this June than in June 2012. In the first half of 2013, 139,825 more pickup trucks were sold than during the first six months of 2012.
