Smart Confirms Production of Pure-Electric 'escooter', Goes on Sale in 2014



Smart may be experiencing troubles in the four-wheel world, but that isn’t stopping the brand that was created by the late founder of Swatch, Nicholas Hayek, before it passed into the hands of Mercedes-Benz's parent company Daimler, from venturing into the world of motorcycles.

Today, Smart confirmed the production of a new, all-electric scooter that was previewed by the 'escooter' concept model in 2010. Smart said that the escooter will arrive in the market in 2014.
