Steve Saleen and his new tuning company SMS are preparing two limited edition versions of the 2009 Dodge Challenger R/T. The SMS 570 Challenger and SMS 570X Challenger will feature a SMS Supercharged 5.7-liter V8 Hemi delivering 500 to over 700Hp respectively. Engine aside, both models will come equipped with a series of performance parts including drivetrain, suspension, aerodynamics, tires, wheels and interior.

Engine aside, both models will come equipped with a series of performance parts including drivetrain, suspension, aerodynamics, tires, wheels and interior.“The horsepower and torque that we are developing from the SMS Supercharged Hemi is phenomenal†said Billy Tally, SMS Chief Technical Officer, “combined with suspension and braking improvements our SMS Challenger will be an incredibly capable, refined and tractable vehicleâ€. Production is set to start in the fourth quarter of 2008.
