NISSAN ALTIMA RECALL

"The left side front suspension transverse link bolt may not have been tightened to specification," on Nissan Altimas from model year 2008 says NHTSA. The consequences are obvious for owners of an '08 Altima: a loosening bolt could result in serious instability and a crash.

Only 1018 Altima owners will need to take their Nissans to a dealer where the bolt will be tightened to specification. The Recall began yesterday but if you're unsure of the status of your '08 Nissan Altima, call Nissan at 1-800-647-7261.
