Minivan Sales In Canada - September 2015 YTD

With the Windsor, Ontario, FCA plant shutdown now a distant memory and availability – particularly to fleets – back online, Dodge reported an 8% Grand Caravan sales improvement in September 2015.

Canada Vehicle Sales Rankings By Model - September 2015 YTD

The Grand Caravan and its Chrysler Town & Country twin collected 65% of all Canadian MPV sales in September 2015, up from 64% in September 2014. As truly mini-MPVs fade quickly, full-size figures like the Grand Caravan, Town & Country, Toyota Sienna, Honda Odyssey, and Kia Sedona are grasping more firmly their long-established positions atop the leaderboard.

So called full-size minivans outsold the mini-MPV group by more than 14-to-1 in September; by more than 12-to-1 in the first three quarters of 2015.

Fiat Chrysler Automobiles will soon reveal an all-new Town & Country. It's not yet completely clear what the automaker will do with the Grand Caravan, a vehicle which attracts many thousands of Canadian buyers each month largely because of its bargain basement pricing scheme.

Meanwhile, GCBC's own Honda Odyssey hasn't done anything to lessen our appreciation of our most recent new vehicle acquisition.

This table is now sortable, so you can rank minivans any which way you like. Suggestions on how GCBC should break down segments can be passed on through the Contact page.
