U.S. sales of full-size, volume brand SUVs tumbled 32% in June 2015 (and 3% in the first-half of 2015) as GM's big brutes saw their market share fall from 79% in June 2014, when they were newly launched, to 70% in June 2015.

The Suburban, Tahoe, Yukon, and Yukon XL collectively lost nearly 10,000 sales, a 40% year-over-year sales decline. Their exclusively premium-oriented Cadillac Escalade and Escalade ESV were down 20% and 6%, respectively.
An opportunity certainly presented itself for the import nameplates in the segment, the Nissan Armada and Toyota Sequoia. Although their volume remained low, their sales increased by 22% and 18% last month, gains of 222 units for the Armada and 171 units for the Sequoia.
