November 2014 was the best Canadian sales month for the Mercedes-Benz G-Class since sales figures for the G-Class were separated from the mainstream GL-Class in April 2012. And not by a small margin.

The previous best month for the G-Class, a vehicle you may know better as the Geländewagen or G-Wagen, was August of last year, when 28 were sold. Mercedes-Benz Canada doubled up on that figure with 55 November sales. In other words, as sales of the new Lincoln Navigator jumped 71% to 41 units, the biggest, baddest, boldest $122,600 Benz outsold it by 14 units.
The G-Wagen also outsold the Land Rover Range Rover and Lexus LX570 last month. Cadillac's Escalades combined for 79 sales: 60 regular-wheelbase Escalades and 19 ESVs. Mercedes-Benz sold 138 copies of their own GL.
