Canadians drove home in 243 Escalades, QX Infinitis, Range Rovers, LX570s, and Navigators in March 2013. Also, Mercedes-Benz sold 283 GL-Class SUVs, a figure which includes an unknown (but presumably small) number of G-Wagens.
These are not exactly the Morgan 3 Wheeler's competitors. The Lincoln Navigator, Canada's least favourite large luxury sport-ute in March, when multiplied by the 26 sold, combined to add 155,600 pounds to Canadian roads.
Cadillac's aged Escalade isn't too far from a thorough redo. Sales of its five main competitors improved in the first quarter of 2013. Canada's overall new vehicle market has not proven to be as big this year as last.
