Independent Ford Dealership Advert Tells Non-Christians to Shut-up...

When it comes to sales, anything goes. Take “Kieffe & Sons Ford” in California for example. The independent Ford dealer has been airing a controversial radio commercial in California that attacks the non-Christian population of America.

The offensive advert that makes no mention whatsoever of cars, prices or incentives, states that since 86 percent of Americans are Christians, those people that want prayer out of schools, "Under God" out of the Pledge, and "In God We Trust" to be taken off the dollar, should “sit down and shut up”.

Apparently, “Hitler & Sons Ford” -sorry, we mean “Kieffe & Sons Ford”, thinks that Christians will come flocking in the dealership and buy whatever they find just because they are God loving folks who don’t mind putting a sock into anyone who disagrees with their beliefs. -Continued

Since “Kieffe & Sons Ford” is independent and privately owned, they are responsible of their own advertising meaning that Ford has no say. Well, at least theoretically speaking because the dealer does use Ford’s name in the radio commercial. If we were Ford, we wouldn’t be at all pleased with this commercial.

Transcript of the radio commercial: Did you know that there are people in this country who want prayer out of schools, "Under God" out of the Pledge, and "In God We Trust" to be taken off our money?

But did you know that 86 per cent of Americans say they believe in God? Since we all know that 86 out of every 100 of us are Christians, who believe in God, we at Kieffe & Sons Ford wonder why we don't tell the other 14 per cent to sit down and shut up.

I guess I just offended 14 per cent of the people who are listening to this message. Well, if that is the case then I say that's tough, this is America folks, it's called free speech.

None of us at Kieffe & Sons Ford is afraid to speak out. Kieffe & Sons Ford on Sierra Highway in Mojave and Rosamond, if we don't see you today, by the grace of God, we'll be here tomorrow."
