Auto Union Type-D Concept

Inspired from the Auto Union race cars of the 1930s, designer Lukas Vanek created a modern interpretation of the Type-D. The young designer from the Czech Republic proposes that the 21st century Auto Union Type-D should use carbon fibre composite materials for the structural support of the car and metal for the exterior body parts. According to Vanek, the Type-D has been designed to fit a 650Hp 6.5-liter V12 engine right behind the driver offering a theoretical top speed of 186 mph or 300 km/h. -More images after the jump
