Auto Express Says BMW i8 is Unlike Any Other Sports Car



The complex BMW i8 has a hybrid powertrain combining a 129hp electric motor that drives the front wheels with a 228hp 1.5-liter turbocharged three-cylinder gasoline engine that sends power to the rear axle. There’s another small boosting electric motor that also works as a generator and a 7.1 kWh battery which allows the i8 to travel up to 22 miles (35 km) on electric power alone. Read more »
