April 2013 Canada Luxury Vehicle Sales Rankings By Model - Top 85 Best-Selling Luxury Vehicles In Canada - Every Luxury Vehicle Ranked

Mercedes-Benz's Latest Reveal: The Next-Gen
W222 2014 Mercedes-Benz S-Class
Cars accounted for 46.4% of luxury brand volume in Canada during the first four months of 2013, while luxury SUVs and crossovers, and the Cadillac Escalade EXT pickup, dealt with the remainder of Acura, Audi, BMW, Cadillac, Infiniti, Jaguar, Land Rover, Lexus, Lincoln, Mercedes-Benz, Porsche, and Volvo sales.

In terms of ranking, half of the luxury vehicles sold by these brands sell less often than the Land Rover Range Rover. Numerically, however, the eleven leading nameplates - 3-Series to JX35 - account for about half the luxury market in Canada.

Those numbers naturally exclude the high-priced versions of mainstream brand vehicles, vehicles like the $77,445 GMC Yukon XL Denali and premium sedans like the $39,999-$53,499 Hyundai Genesis. Judging luxury only by the name of the brand grants entry to vehicles like the $29,900 Mercedes-Benz B250, which is surely less of a luxury car than the $37,800 Nissan Maxima, for example.

These are year-to-date rankings, but you can sort vehicles by April volume by clicking the April 2013 column header, or you can rank vehicles by improvements or declines using the % columns. Or, most importantly, you can list automakers together by selecting the Luxury Vehicle column header. Just remember, the list is horizontally flipped from the norm: YTD on the left, monthly data on the right. If you don't like how GoodCarBadCar defines these "premium brand", remember that all 249 vehicle nameplates were ranked in one sortable table, as well.

As always, you can find historical monthly and yearly sales figures for any of these vehicles by selecting a make and model at GCBC's Sales Stats page.

Red font indicates year-over-year declining sales
Italicized unranked lines are nothing more than available breakdowns, already included in the model's total, not in addition to the model's total. Sales data for brands such as Aston Martin, Ferrari, Lamborghini, Lotus, Maybach, Rolls-Royce, Tesla etc. are unfortunately not available or are not broken down by model. ANDC estimates say sales for Ferrari and Lamborghini were 18/70 (April/YTD) and 4/14 (April/YTD) respectively. Total Maserati and Bentley volume is reported, but not by specific models.
